Marrakech: A Sensory Overload of Color, Spice, and Culture
Marrakech is a city like no other. From the moment you step off the plane, you're enveloped in a sensory overload of color, spice, and culture. The air is thick with the sweet scent of orange blossoms, and the vibrant hues of pink and red buildings immediately catch your eye.
As you make your way through the bustling streets, you'll encounter snake charmers, henna artists, and street food vendors. Don't be afraid to haggle with the vendors as it's part of the experience, and you may just snag a great deal on some handcrafted treasures. I didn’t do this and wish I had, ha!
The heart of Marrakech is the medina - with its narrow alleys and bustling marketplaces. You'll also find amazing restaurants tucked behind unsuspecting walls.
For a truly unique experience, head to a traditional hammam or spa, where you can indulge in a steam bath and relaxing massage. And don't forget to sip on some traditional mint tea while people-watching in a quaint café.
Marrakech is a city that will overwhelm your senses - but in the best way possible. The vibrant colors, rich spices, and welcoming people will leave a lasting impression, and you'll surely leave with a newfound appreciation for the beauty and culture of Morocco. I could have stayed forever and am already planning my next trip back.

Must see:
The medina, of course. We hired a guide to take us through. He knew the best vendors to take us to see, helped us buy a Moroccan beni ourain rug (which had been on our bucket list forever), and delivered us to our lunch reservations that we would have NEVER found on our own.
